01.08.2008 — Digital Playground, the ****ography studio which recently said it would be shipping Blu-ray discs despite initially choosing HD DVD, has announced eight titles it will be releasing on Blu-ray in February.
The rollout deals another blow to the HD DVD camp, which recently lost key movie producer Warner Brothers to Blu-ray. Digital Playground now plans to support both formats “until there is a clear-cut winner,” according to company founder Joone, who spoke with CE Pro last month.
“Pirates,” the first Blu-ray title from Digital Playground, shipped on January 4 and will be available on January 11, the company says.
The next eight titles to be released are: “Island Fever 4,” “Babysitters,” “Island Fever 3,” “Jack’s Teen America 3,” “Jesse Jane: Sexual Freak,” “Hush,” “Contract Star” and “Jesse Jane in Pink.”
